Self Catering: Brighton, Self Catering Cottages in Sussex
Self catering holiday cottages in Sussex are dotted across the region, from English country cottages in the Sussex High Weald and South Downs Cottages to coastal cottages in Sussex coastal locations such as Rye, Eastbourne and Brighton.
There are many advantages to Sussex self catering holiday cottage rentals. Perhaps the main advantage is that, because you are staying in a self catering property, you have almost everything that you would have at home: a kitchen to cook meals, a living area with comfortable sofas and a television and quite often a small garden. There is also privacy to be found in cottages that one would not associate with hotels or other forms of accommodation. Sussex self catering holiday cottages are especially prominent within the Sussex Countryside around South Downs holidaying hotspots.
Whatever your budget, Sussex has a beautiful holiday cottage for you. For those who want to rent luxury cottages, you will find some wonderful traditional thatched or historic Sussex country cottages whilst other, perhaps more modern, luxury cottages have fantastic facilities such as four poster beds, real open fires and even private Jacuzzis which may be inside or out. For those on a budget, you can rent basic cottages for a reasonable price, which often works out cheaper than staying in hotels. There are some larger holiday parks and a significant number of Sussex caravan parks around coastal resorts such as Camber Sands near Rye, Winchelsea Beach, Pevensey Bay, Littlehampton, Bognor and around Brighton at Seaford. There are numerous Sussex caravan parks along the Sussex coast including caravan park hotspots around Chichester Harbour and Selsey, and at top Sussex seaside resorts including Bognor Regis and Littlehampton.
Much of Sussex is rural, covered by both the Sussex South Downs and High Weald. In these countryside areas you will find an excellent choice of Sussex camping and caravan sites. Whatever your budget, you can enjoy a self catering holiday in Sussex, whether you stay in a luxury chalet on a family holiday park with entertainment and activities, or whether you stay in your own tent on a basic camping pitch on the Sussex coast and around the South Downs and Weald. Sussex offers a superb choice of campsites around the region - a great cheap option for Sussex holidays.
Whether you choose to stay in a luxury family holiday park, Caravan Park or more basic caravan site depends on what you want from your holiday. Families with children may enjoy the busy activities and entertainment of family holiday parks, whereas couples may prefer a quiet caravan park in the heart of the Sussex countryside or around Chichester or Rye Harbours. Touring caravan owners may just want cheap caravan pitches with a clean toilet block, or ramblers enjoying walking holidays may want tent pitches with fantastic views of the English Channel or South Downs. Whatever kind of holiday you want, if you are looking for reasonably priced self catering accommodation, you can find it in Sussex camping sites, caravan sites and holiday parks.
Self Catering East Sussex: Holiday Flats and Apartments
Holiday flats and apartments provide fantastic self catering accommodation for holidays in Sussex and you will find them across the whole of Sussex but particularly in main Sussex seaside resorts like Eastbourne, Brighton and Hove, Worthing, Bognor, Seaford and around Chichester Harbour. In this form of self catering accommodation, the main benefit comes from having your own door - which gives you privacy and independence on a much greater level than, say, hotels.
Most holiday apartments and flats in Sussex are found around the coast in Sussex seaside and harbour marina resort hotspots such as Brighton, Eastbourne, Worthing, Hove, Hastings and around the Witterings and Chichester Harbour. There are plenty of flats to rent in Brighton! The self catering accommodation found in the rural Sussex Weald and South Downs is more likely to be holiday cottages, although you will find farm buildings and barns which have been converted into holiday apartments. These barn conversions are likely to be in a rustic traditional style with period features such as exposed beams and wood burning fires. The flats and apartments in coastal regions tend to be more modern, with the emphasis on comfort and practicality rather than the vintage architecture of barn conversions in rural Sussex. You'll also find luxury chic Brighton and Eastbourne self catering apartments available in the heart of the city seaside centres close to piers and beaches, marinas, museums and attractions.
