The local shops, bars and restaurants are only a short walk from The Salty Dog, an ideal location for families. Relax in our fully enclosed pebble garden and have a drink on the large decked area. Table and chairs, sun loungers, parasol and charcoal barbecue are provided for your use. Rye, Winchelsea, Hastings and Battle are all close by, offering a great day out. Numerous National Trust properties and gardens are within easy reach, and there is plenty to keep the kids entertained. Why not take them to Blue Reef Aquarium, Smugglers Adventure and Port Lympne Wildlife Park?

Rooms Description

The Salty Dog sleeps 6 adults. On the ground floor there is a large, well equipped kitchen/dining room with patio doors leading out to a garden and a games room with small sofa bed, suitable for a small child. The first floor has an open plan sitting room with picture window to the back and a balcony to the front. Bedroom two with zip-link beds (one super-king size or two 3’ single beds) and patio door leading to ‘Juliet’ balcony. The Master bedroom (with en-suite shower room) on the second floor also has zip-link beds, as does the third bedroom. The family bathroom has WC, basin and bath with shower over.

We have off road parking for one car and space for additional car in the garage. Cots, high chair, stair gates, steam steriliser, socket covers, baby listening monitor, non-slip bathmat, toddler step, baby books and toys, children's/picnic plastic tableware and beakers, insulated cool box and freezer blocks, wind-break, paddling pool, garden toys and more are also provided. Egyptian hotel quality cotton bed linen, fluffy towels, oven gloves, tea, coffee, dishwasher tabs etc provided. Dogs are welcome and there is an outside hose with shower attachment for washing the sand and salt water off your dog after a walk on the beach.
