Butlers Farmhouse Bed and Breakfast is situated in Herstmonceux, near Hailsham, six miles from England's South Coast. This is a 16th Century farmhouse set in over 5 acres of tranquil Sussex countryside, the ideal hideaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Many of the rooms enjoy extensive views of the surrounding South Downs and the delightful conservatory, where breakfast is served daily, looks out over the beautiful gardens. Irene is a keen gardener and is happy to give the green fingered a tour around the lovely grounds.

Butlers Farmhouse Bed and Breakfast was completely refurbished for the 2009 season with Farrow and Ball wallcovering, further adding to the luxurious surrounds. Select from a choice of delicious breakfasts which include scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, eggs as you like and any combination of the traditional full English ingredients. Herstmonceux is home to a couple of fine pubs serving local ales and good food. In addition to this the village has 3 restaurants serving fine food in the evenings.

Rooms Description

Butlers Farmhouse B&B offers a choice of 3 bedrooms to guests. All rooms are doubles, one being ensuite with a beatifully finished bathroom with bath, shower and heated towel rail and the other two with private bathrooms with roll top baths. Decorated and furnished to a high standard with iron bedframes and beamed ceilings. All rooms are equipped with tea and coffee making facilties, television and Internet access. The property is non smoking throughout and there is ample parking available. Enjoy a home cooked English Breakfast or healthy eating alternatives in the delightful conservatory overlooking the garden which featured in Sussex Life (July 2009) and Amateur Gardening (6th June 2009) Magazines.

Directions

From Herstmonceux village, take the A271 towards Bexhill. Just outside the village turn right into Church Road. After half a mile turn right again into Butlers Lane (opposite Flowers Green Plants) Butlers Farmhouse is a quarter of a mile on the right after a sharp left hand bend.
