Beacon Lodge B&B makes a perfect base from which to explore West Sussex. Petworth House is nearby and is a magnificent country house and park. Within 15 minutes drive is Goodwood House for the Festival of Speed and the Classic Revival and of course the famous racecourse. Fontwell Park racecourse is also nearby. Just 6 miles to the South is the historic town of Arundel, one of the most picturesque towns in Sussex. The ancient castle overlooks the town and is a spectacular sight. The City of Chichester is famous for its cathedral and the Festival Theatre. There is a large selection of shops and restaurants and a new cinema complex. The Sussex Coast is within half an hours drive and there are many pretty coastal towns and villages and the famous beach at West Wittering.

Beacon Lodge bed and breakfast offers guests a choice of 2 rooms on a B&B basis. Accommodation consists of a separate annexe adjacent to the main house – this is a large comfortable room with a double and a single bed. There is an en suite bathroom/shower. The room looks out over quiet open countryside. Pets are welcome in the annexe free of charge. In the main house there is a double room, with its own separate bathroom. Both rooms have a colour TV, and tea/coffee making facilities. Guests can relax in the conservatory at the back of the house, which looks out over the garden and fields. Full English or continental breakfast is served in the dining room. We also offer WiFi internet access.

We are within 2 miles of the South Downs Way – a magnet for cyclists and walkers, and many footpaths and bridleways in the area. We are happy to drop off and collect you from South Downs way. Packed lunches are also available on request. We have a secure lock up garage for bicycles and a well fenced garden for dogs. Three local pubs for your evening meal less than 5 minutes drive from the house. Dogs welcome in the bar at the Swan at Fittleworth and our local pub the Labouring Man. The Squire & Horse at Bury has wonderful food.
